In a message to his Iranian counterpart, Salim Abdullah al-Jabouri, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament offered greetings to Ali Larijani on the occasion of Larijani’s victory in winning the votes of Iranian MPs for another one-year term of chairing the Iranian parliament.
“I offer my warmest congratulations and greetings on your reelection as the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament,” opens Jabouri’s letter to Larijani, according to Iraqi media.
The same sources recount that Jabouri wishes both Larijani and the Iranian nation progress and overgrowing stability in his message.
The Iraqi law-maker stressed on bolstering bilateral ties in all areas saying that the current challenges demand continuous cooperation of neighboring countries of Iran and Iraq especially on war on terrorism and extremism.
